InjuryCatchSee if a firm can take it

Privacy Policy

InjuryCatch ("we", "us") runs this website to connect people who were hurt in accidents with participating law firms. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Your answers to the qualifying questions (when the accident happened, whether you were hurt, who was insured and, on our ad landing page, who caused the crash).
  • What you type into the form: your name, phone number, ZIP code, the kind of accident (or, on our ad landing page, who caused the crash), and whether you already have a lawyer.
  • Technical details sent by your browser: IP address, browser type, the page you arrived from, the time you arrived, and advertising identifiers in the link you clicked (such as campaign names and ad-click codes).
  • A record of your consent to be contacted, including the time and the text you agreed to.

How we use it

  • To decide whether your case fits what participating firms take.
  • To send your details to one participating law firm so it can contact you. That firm is independent of us and handles your information under its own policies.
  • To contact you about your submission by phone, text message or email.
  • To measure which advertisements bring people here.

Who receives it

The participating law firm we send your case to, and the service providers that host this website, store its data and send its text messages for us. We do not sell your information to data brokers. You never pay us anything.

We use Google Ads conversion measurement to learn which of our ads bring people here. When you arrive from one of our Google ads, or from a link of ours that carries campaign codes (utm codes), we keep those codes with the time you arrived, the page address, your browser type and how far you got through our questions (and which question ended them, if one did), and our site sets its own cookie, named ic_v, for 90 days so the ad or link can still be credited if you come back later. The page also keeps those ad or link codes in your browser's own storage for 90 days, so a case you send later still carries them, and a note of which cases this browser has already reported. When the link is a Google ad click, it also carries a code that identifies the click (such as gclid, gbraid or wbraid), and we keep your IP address with that visit. Pages on this site also load the Google tag, which sets Google's cookies in your browser (such as _gcl_aw) and tells Google which of our pages you visited. When you send your case, we tell Google that the case came from its ad, using only the ad-click code and our reference number. We never send Google your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code or your answers about the accident, in any form (plain or scrambled), and we do not send your IP address to Google to measure ads. If we ask Google to investigate suspected fraudulent or invalid ad clicks, we may share the technical details of the suspicious visits only: IP address, browser type, the ad-click code, the location code Google gave the click, and the time; for a submission we judged fake, unreachable or not sent by the person named in it, also our reference number and that judgment. We ask Google not to use your visits here to personalize ads. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our server does not report your case to Google; it may only ask Google to remove a conversion that Google's tag already recorded, using our reference number. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Google describes how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions for as long as needed to complete the introduction and to keep a record of consent, and then as required by law.

Records of visits from our ads and tagged links from people who do not send a case are deleted after 90 days. We delete the IP address, and the scrambled copy of it we use to spot repeated clicks, from these records after 61 days, and the IP address of anyone who answers the questions but does not send a case after 61 days as well. If you send a case, the ad-click details are kept with it.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your submission or stop contacting you. Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts from the sender. To make a request, use the contact details on the page where you found this site's advertisement, or write to us through the form and say what you need.

Consumer health data (Nevada)

Whether you were hurt, and whether you saw a doctor, can count as consumer health data under Nevada law (NRS 603A.400 to 603A.550). This is how we handle it.

  • What we collect: your answer about whether you were hurt and whether you saw a doctor.
  • Where it comes from: only from you, through the form on this site.
  • Why we collect it: to decide whether your case fits what participating firms take and to send your case to a participating law firm, which is the service you ask for when you send the form. We use it for nothing else.
  • Who receives it: the participating law firm we send your case to, and the service providers that host this website, store its data and send its text messages for us. We never send it to Google or any other advertising company, no one else collects it through this site, and we do not sell it.
  • Your rights: you can ask us to confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, to list the third parties we shared it with, to stop collecting or sharing it, and to delete it. Make a request the way described under "Your choices". We answer within 45 days of confirming who you are; if we need more time, we tell you why within those 45 days and take at most 45 more. If we turn down your request, you can appeal the same way, and we answer the appeal within 45 days. If we turn down the appeal, you can contact the Nevada Attorney General at ag.nv.gov.
  • Changes: if we change how we handle consumer health data, we update this section and the date at the top of this page.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

InjuryCatch

InjuryCatch is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. We connect people who were hurt in accidents with independent, participating law firms. Sending your case does not create an attorney-client relationship, and no firm is obligated to take it. Whether a firm takes a case, and on what terms, is decided by that firm.
